Akashic Records - The Akashic Records (Akasha is a Sanskrit word meaning "sky", "space" or "Aether") are said to be a collection of mystical knowledge that is stored in the Aether; i.e. on a non-physical plane of existence. The concept is common in some New Age religious groups. The Akashic Records are said to have existed since the beginning of Creation. Just as we have various specialty libraries (e.g., medical, law), there are said to exist various Akashic Records (e.g., human, animal, plant, mineral, etc). Most writings refer to the Akashic Records in the area of human experience.

Alchemy – the process of turning lead into gold. This can be spiritual alchemy or physically turning lead into actual gold.

Alien Abduction - Reported experiences of being abducted by alien creatures, often into spacecraft. Abductees often experience lost time and suffer loss of memory. When memories are recovered, often using hypnotic regression, abductees may report that surgical operations were performed on them.

Alpha Rhythm - Electrical activity in the brain (about 10 cycles per second) associated with a state of mental relaxation.

Through natal charts (based on when and where a person was born), astrologers determine and predict human characteristics, tendencies and events.

Aura - Auras are kaleidoscopes of wonderful color that surrounds each and every one of us for our whole lives. For some of us we may see Auras more readily than others, yet most of us can often see or perceive the aura with just a little practice. To bring an aura into focus, gaze beyond your subject, so if the person is standing 3 feet in front of a wall look though the person and focus on the wall as though daydreaming, so that you are aware of the person/subject in a corner of your vision, yet not focusing clearly on him/her. What is important is that you hold that gaze as long as you can without blinking, and slowly the aura will begin to glow around the head and shoulders, an usually all of the person upon whom you are focused. Often, on early attempts, the Etheric will show itself, as a thin white glow just beyond the substance or body, if you can see that, you can see the aura, which appears just beyond the Etheric. Auras are energy, pure energy; your own personal energy field. It’s an energy that is linked into our chakras and into your soul, and is often thought of as being like and electromagnetic field. The Aura always reflects how we are, where we are at and our current mood.

The understandings and applications of color are open to individual interpretation, but the following is something of a guide:

  • RED               Positivity, Red is a very psychical energy.
  • ORANGE        Positivity, optimism, strength. Can also indicate that the person has teaching qualities.
  • YELLOW        Purpose in life, protection. Can also indicate an increased level of mental usages such as an individual that has been reading a lot!
  • GREEN           Learning, acquiring of and imparting. May show emotional balance.
  • BLUE             Healing and communication.
  • PINK/LILAC  Unconditional love, gentleness, caring, compassion.
  • PURPLE       Nobility of soul. Spirituality
  • WHITE         Above and around the top of the head will show connection to universal source and spiritual development.

Each color has its own vibration, and colors in our aura are constantly changing!

Auras can be photographed, either by using specially developed aura cameras or by Kirilian photography, which has now been around for some time. Remember animals, fish, plants all have auras. In fact all living things on our planet have an aura.

Automatic Writing - Automatic writing is the process of allowing Spirit Guides or Higher Self to use your hand and arm, while in an altered state of consciousness to write answers to your questions. The writing is produced involuntarily when the subject's attention is directed elsewhere either through meditation or trance. It is sometimes called 'trance' writing, because it is done quickly and without judgment. The person may appear in a trance-like state, putting down whatever comes to mind. The messages may be in a language foreign to the person's own native tongue and the handwriting can be unrecognizable to the person penning the words. It may also be lacking spaces and punctuation. Pictures or symbols may be part of the writing as well. Automatic writing allows the person access to the entity for guidance. It can also serve to retrieve information from your unconscious and/or provide insight.

Candle Magic – for love, money and healing - Using candles for meditation and one's desires has been used for centuries. We all have enjoyed the beauty of a lit candle whether it is for a romantic dinner or taking a nice relaxing bath. Wishful thinking can be the first step in making dreams come true, however, the next step is taking action on your wishes. Candle magic is a form of a ritual, a focus, a strong intention of something that you want to manifest. If you are looking for more fun in your life, adventure, love, peace of mind or good health try a little candle magic. Candle magic can even be used for overcoming negative habits, healing and settling disturbing atmospheres in your home or office, protection from negative forces, regaining health. The list goes on and on because we are unique individuals with a myriad of desires, needs, and problems. Focus and intention is the brain power behind candle magic. It is not merely lighting a candle and saying a prayer but being very clear on what you would like to invoke with the assistance of your special candle. Candle magic is one of the simplest forms of magic because the things that you assemble to place around your candle can be purchased at any store or you probably already have things around you in your home that have meaning to you. Personal items, things of beauty, the smell of flowers are all things that can be used in conjunction with your candles. Most of us have already performed candle magic by the time that we are four years old. The simple act of blowing out our birthday candles and making a wish is candle magic in its simplest form.

Colors of the candle used are important but also use your own intuition to what feels right for you. If doing love magic you may want to use the traditional red and white candles but perhaps add your significant other's favorite color to remind yourself of him/her. Colors can play a role in visualizing our intent for each candle spell. Use these color recommendations as a guide, but go with your intuition for the most powerful color choice when creating your unique ritual or spell.

Clairsentience is also the most difficult of the “gifts” to interpret as there are no clear messages being heard or seen.
